CourtHQ, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). The Platform is currently available only to users in the United States. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data.
We collect information that you provide directly to us when you create an account, set up your profile, book lessons or programs, or otherwise interact with the Platform. This includes:
We also collect certain information automatically when you use the Platform:
CourtHQ does not use the iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or any cross-app advertising identifier. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not display third-party advertising on the Platform.
We do not collect or access your device's precise location unless you explicitly authorize such access through your device settings. When you grant precise location access, we use it only while the app is open, and only to display nearby coaches, locations, and programs. If you do not enable location permissions, we may use approximate location information that you voluntarily provide, such as your ZIP code, to display nearby locations, recommend relevant services, and support core platform functionality. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device's settings, and the Platform will continue to function with reduced discovery accuracy.
CourtHQ does not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers. All payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe, our third-party payment processor, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1 — the highest level of payment security certification available. When you make a purchase or receive a payout through the Platform, your payment details are entered into and held by Stripe; CourtHQ only receives transaction metadata such as the amount, date, status, and a Stripe-generated reference identifier. Coaches who set up payouts complete Stripe's onboarding flow directly, which means coach banking information, tax identification, and government-issued identification documents are collected and stored by Stripe, not CourtHQ.
For more information on Stripe's privacy practices, please review Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
The Platform is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly allow users under 13 to create their own account. If you are under 13, please do not provide any personal information to CourtHQ.
CourtHQ offers a Family Members feature that allows parents or legal guardians to add dependents, including children under 13, to their own account in order to book lessons or programs on the child's behalf. When a parent adds a family member, we collect only the child's name, birth month and birth year, relationship to the parent, and optional sport preferences. We do not collect the child's full date of birth, contact information, or any data directly from the child.
We collect family member information only with verifiable parental consent, which is provided when the parent adds the family member from within their authenticated account. We use this information only to identify the child to the coach during in-person lessons, apply age-appropriate program filters, and process bookings or refunds related to the child. We do not allow children to log in or post public content,
Parents may review, update, or delete a family member's information at any time through the Family Members section of the app, or by emailing legal@courthq.ai. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us immediately at legal@courthq.ai and we will delete the information.
We rely on the following service providers to operate the Platform. Each provider only receives the information needed to perform its function, and each is contractually obligated to use that information only on our behalf:
We may also disclose information when legally required, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of CourtHQ, our users, or the public.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections, and backend data is stored on servers located in the United States. As noted in the Payment Information section above, CourtHQ does not store payment card or bank account numbers; all such information is held by Stripe under PCI DSS Level 1 certification. While we work hard to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting you, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days of your request, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial purposes (for example, transaction records may be retained for up to seven years for tax and accounting compliance). Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days following deletion. To delete your account, go to Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account in the app, or email legal@courthq.ai.
We send push notifications for booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations, messages from coaches, and similar transactional updates. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or through the Notifications section of your profile.
Depending on the state in which you live, you may have one or more of the following rights regarding your personal information:
These rights apply to residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with comparable privacy laws. Even if your state does not have a comprehensive privacy law, we will honor reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete your information.
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@courthq.ai from the address associated with your account, or use the in-app account deletion flow at Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request, and you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and through an in-app banner at least 30 days before the changes take effect. We will also post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact us at legal@courthq.ai.
